Kyle Murphy

Today during the drive home, someone asked if Kyle could turn down the A/C because they were too cold...God is good!

Today me and Kyle finished the deck! Oh, and we went cliff diving. Anyways, when we were doing VBS, God performed many miracles. First of all, in the first few days of the week, only about 3-6 children came. However, when we went to the trailer park/housing near Fairview Motel (where we were meeting for VBS), almost every door we knocked and informed about VBS told us that they would really want to go and join us for VBS and the hog roast. As a result, about 15-20 children came, and about a total of 40-50 people came (excluding the people in our group).

Clear as a Dell (Missions Blog) - Day 5

Hey everyone! It's getting pretty late and we've got to get out of this Starbucks, so I'm going to give you a quick update!

Yesterday we had a delicious hog roast. It was divine. Afterwards, we went to a motel to hand out popcorn and lemonade. While we were trying to knock on the doors, the owner came out and made us leave. So, we decided to go back to the motel we visited previously. This was great news to all of us because we had become friends with a lot of people from there. It was like that was the place God wanted us to be that night and it was truly amazing.

Clear as a Dell (Missions Blog) - Day 1

After about 10 hours of driving today, we finally made it to Urbandale, IA. The trip started out pretty much as you'd expect, with three rows of sleeping kids for about an hour (except for Michael, who somehow managed to sleep for 3 hours, despite everyone else yelling and playing games around him). But as the sun rose higher in the sky, the temperature in the van rose as well. Though the vents kept pumping out air, the air didn't seem much cooler than the air outside. It's bad news when you're looking forward to stopping so that you can get out of the van and step out into the refreshing 90 something degree weather.

Darkness Falls: A Good Friday Devotion

Darkness falls over the Earth on Good Friday. God's own Son goes to his death to save us from the darkness in our hearts. While he is walking out this terrifying mission, his followers seem to do everything they can to show how little we humans deserve the favor.

Never Forget

I was lucky enough to spend this past weekend in Estes Park, a place where God’s creativity and craftsmanship could not be any more evident. I spent the weekend strolling through downtown shops, dining at local restaurants, and even taking a “ghost tour” of the hotel that inspired Stephen King’s The Shining. I had a blast spending time with family and getting to do all of these fun activities, but the thing that left the biggest impact on me this weekend was the church service I went to on Sunday morning.

Online Sermons

The goal of ONE Ministries is to create a group of young believers who can worship, learn, fellowship, and serve under ONE God, through ONE faith. Christians are called to be united under one faith, and our mission is to achieve that unity here at BCEFC. However, it's incredibly important that our youth group does not exist and function as its own, separate church. As members of BCEFC we are ALL called to the unity that is spoken of in Ephesians 4.

Love Without Condition

My hope in creating this section of our website is to be able to keep our parents updated with what's going on in our youth group. But, even more important than that, I want it to be a page where parents can find encouragement as well. And so, as my first post on this "Parent Page," I would like to offer up some advice and encouragement to you. I hope it helps!

The Reason for the Season

What a wonderful time of year it is! I love driving around, looking at all the beautiful lights and decorations. I love watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas music. I love giving and receiving a plethora of presents. And I really love spending time with friends and family. All of these things have been a part of my Christmas ever since I can remember. But there was always something missing...and I never realized it.
